Law Enforcement & Corrections

Welcome To The Cass County Sheriff’s Office

The Sheriff is the Chief Law Enforcement authority of the County and is an elected position. Cass County's Sheriff is Tom Burch.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office consists of several divisions, which generally provide service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The services provided by the Sheriff's Office include the pursuit and apprehension of felons, investigation of crimes and accidents, searches for missing persons, patrolling county roads and lakes, and generally promoting public safety. The Sheriff also serves all writs, warrants, commitment papers and Court orders, and maintains the County Jail.

Crime Stoppers is a program separate from the emergency telephone number system, that allows a member of the community to provide anonymous information about criminal activity. It thereby allows the person to provide crime solving assistance to the authorities without being directly involved in the investigation process. That person could also be eligible for a cash reward if the reported information results in an arrest. Click below to submit a web tip or use the text tips shown.
