Financial Assistance:  

Financial assistance provides support to low income residents of Cass County.  We determine eligibility for public assistance programs such as MA, SNAP, and MFIP.  These services have specific program guidelines that must be met to receive them.  You must be within the monthly income guidelines and asset limits.  See more content for a description of the programs that are available.  To see if you are eligible and qualify, you will need to apply and provide verification of the information you report on the application.

Social Services:

Cass County Health, Human and Veterans Services, in partnership with the federal government, State Department of Human Services, County and other public, private, and community agencies throughout Minnesota, is an agency directed by law to assist those citizens whose personal or family resources are not adequate to meet their basic human needs. The Department is committed to helping our citizens attain the maximum degree of self-sufficiency within their individual capabilities. The Department will promote the dignity, safety, and rights of the individual, and will assure public accountability and trust through responsible use of available resources.

Child Support Services:

Child support is the contribution a parent makes for their children towards care, living expenses, and medical support. All of Minnesota's 87 counties are federally mandated to provide child support services for families regardless of the family's socioeconomic status.
