In Minnesota, the election year begins early. Minnesota’s major party caucuses were moved to February’s Super Tuesday in 2008.
The state general election ballot will include candidates for governor and state constitutional officers, federal and state senators and representatives, judicial officers, county offices, and local township, city and school district candidates.
Most polling places in Cass County open at 7 a.m., with a few polling places in smaller townships opening at 8 a.m. or 10 a.m.; all polling places close at 8 p.m.
One township, Kego, has chosen to return to March township elections.
