Longville Rod and Gun Club
At the direction of the County Board the Cass County Land Department
has been assisting the Longville Rod and Gun Club in selecting a
location for a gun range.
The following criteria are being used to identify candidate sites:

Size – No minimum size.
Required parcel to share a common property line with County
Administered Land. |

2. |
Access to site by road. County road or state
highway preferred. |
|
3. |
Number of people required to notify during
Conditional Use Public Hearing. Lower number of parcels to
notify preferred. |

4. |
Ownership – County or private preferred
for ability to purchase in a timely matter. |
Examples of sites under review are as follows:

Private parcels that would provide
access to inaccessible public land. |

2. |
Private parcels sharing a property boundary with
County land. |
| |
3. |
Previous gun club site. |
| |
4. |
County Fee owned land. |
| |
5. |
Other County Land with lower numbers of privately
owned parcels within one mile of the site. |
