Health Services Overview

The Health Services Division is part of the Health, Human, and Veteran Services Department and provides health services to Cass County residents, including:

  • Personal care and support services to help the elderly stay in their homes as long as possible.
  • Medicare certified, Home Health Aides/Homemakers, and In Home Physical Therapy.
  • Senior Companions, Hospice Respite, Caregiver Respite and Personal Care Assistants.
  • LongTerm Care Consultations prior to nursing home placement, and other home based services.
  • Care at home during recovery from an acute illness or injury; for chronically ill/disabled children and adults; and for the terminally ill.
  • Help adjusting to an illness or disability.
  • Information about a new diet, medication or disease.
  • Information about other community resources.
  • Access to medical supplies and equipment.
  • Education and care for pregnant women, infants and children.
  • Parenting education and SIDS counseling.
  • Pre-pregnancy Family Planning.
  • W.I.C. Nutrition Program.
  • Child and Teen Checkups.
  • Water Testing for Fluoride.
  • Healthy Beginnings visits to all families with newborns.
  • Immunization Clinics available throughout the County.
  • AIDS Education.
  • Annual Flu Shot Clinics.
  • Blood Pressure & Cholesterol Screening Clinics.
  • Senior Health Screenings.
  • Cancer Screening for eligible women.
  • Participant in the Emergency. Medical Services Task Force.
